Shizuoka Distillery was opened by Gaiaflow in 2016. It is the first distillery in the world to use Japanese cedar in its distilling equipment, draws spring water from the Southern Alps, and lets the seasons' microclimate work on its maturing casks. Paid tours, a tasting room and a whisky school are offered.
