Fuji Gotemba was established in 1973 as a joint venture of Kirin, Seagram and Chivas Brothers. At about 620 metres on the foot of Mt. Fuji, it is one of the rare distilleries making both malt and grain whisky on one site, using Mt. Fuji's subsoil water and maturing spirit in a humid climate that averages 13°C across the year. Paid tours run by reservation.
